CMOS Vision has developed a low latency Geometric Lens Distortion Correction Algorithm(patent pending). This digital IP block is especially suitable for compensation of the fish eye effect on wide angle camera systems e.g. Rear View cameras.

	Wide Angle Rear View Image with Geometric Lens Distortion of 35%. This image is not suitable for intuitive driver assistance. Beside this, no customer will pay a premium for this sort of Rear View.
	Wide Angle Rear View Image *after* Geometric Lens Distortion Correction. This image is now suitable for intuitive driver assistance. With a Lens Distortion of 35%, the original video stream has a delay of less then 5ms thanks to the low latency GDC!Hence, no considerable video system delay for the driver.
